Camaro Stuck at Girlfriends house, HELLLP!!

Situation:
This night was so totally wasted, I was going to take my girlfriend to the movies and told her I was going to take my Camaro to pick her up at around 8:30 pm. I get to her house go inside wait for her, we then get back in the camaro ready to go, then when I turn the key to turn it on it fires up and dies instantly, I then attempt this several more times and it just keeps doing the same thing, firing up and shutting down. I did not attempt anymore because the neighborhood she lives in is kinda...quiet and she lives in a canyon and my starter and engine echo'ed all across the nieghborhood with every attempt. As of now the Camaro is stuck in the front of her residence, I hope her dad doesnt get mad.

Situation and Speculation
So I just recently repaired the probable causes of my car, As many of you read on my previous topic/s, I changed my ignition lock cylinder and in doing so it did not correct the problem that I thought it was. What I thought was the ignition cylinder became worn and unfunctional because when I would turn the igniton to the ON position the guages did not turn on neither did the lights on the cluster or the sound, it just gave power to the windows and the cargo light and mirror lights. And when I replaced it with the NEW ignition lock cylinder it still does the same thing, shortly after completed installation of the lock cylinder the same thing happend as the original. Now as soon as I bypassed VATS,and the starter relay it would fire up and then die, I would have to sometimes crank it a few times till it idle'd. Now this has been continous since that day (about a week) Now it will not idle, it just turns over fires up and then dies instantly. What I have noticed ever since the beginning, is that when I hold the igntion key (while on the ON position) if I hold it to the right real stedy and keep it there it stays on, and idles but when I release it it turns right off, Im having doubts that it is something else rather than the ignition lock cylinder, surely a brand new lock cylinder cannot be the cause of this, since the original did the same.

Action Taken:
I checked the Fuel Pump, I hear hums, whzzz, sounds of that type.
I checked the injectors theyre getting fuel and releasing it.
I checked the spark plug wires and the cap for any loose or disconnected wires, all were properly in thier functioning and correct order.
Checked for Vaccum leaks, none found.
Checked for any loose battery cables, or cables leading to the battery, nothing out of the ordinary was found.
I checked under the steering column for loose wires and specifically wires that I had connected to bypass the starter relay, all seemed intact.
I checked all electrical components that I could see I had my 1 millionpower flashlight this was at about 9:00PM friday night (tonight) everything looks intact and functional.

Question:

What could be wrong with it? Could anyone make any logical or any guess for that matter that could cause a phenomenon like this!? Please help me!!!!

caz its a bit overlooked and clogged fuel filter does give all sort
of rough ride or just bog down problems.

they are cheap and not too hard to do.. so if u never replaced them,
maybe take a chance!

did you replace the ignition switch too? is the ignition switch adjusted properly?

try starting it with the steering column first in the full up position & then in full down tilt position & see if it makes a difference.

If you can hold the key a certain way and it keeps running this is the problem. Turning the key on and the dash not lighting up is a dead give-away. It's a PITA to replace but nothing else will bring relief.

The switch is on top of the steering column, pretty buried. I also agree, sounds like a bad switch. When mine died in my truck, the car would run but the gauges would somtimes randomly die. The accessory setting also didnt work. When I took the old switch apart, one of the contacts was almost burned away.

exactly the problem.... took it out got a new one at pep boys, installed it... first it didnt work because I didnt set it up right... bigbabylouz28 told me it had to be postioned right, meaning moving it more twoards the steering wheel and I also had to slide the high beam bracket. Got it running now everything works great! thanks guys!
