Berlinetta

Hey here is the problem im picking up an 1984 berlinetta alright the guy said he will be driving it and then all of the sudden it will just quit running out of nowhere and he has to haul it back and let it sit for 20 min before he can drive again now i beleive it is the electronic ignition box but im not sure if thats the proper name for it. If im in the general direction i would also like to know where it is located on the car. This is my first real project car i guess you could say. so i would like to gain as much knowledge about this car as i can your help would be great.

Most likely it is either the ignition module, located in the distributor, or the coil.

Best bet would be to replace them both. One going bad can take out the other. Doesn't matter which one is the "culprit".
