why does my car Backfire?
my car recently got stolen and when i got it back if i get on it arond 3200-4500 my car pops and backfires. now i know they drove the **** out of my car and beat on it, i looked at all the spark plug wires non are burnt so no arcs, didn't look at my spark plugs though(because there a hassle to get out), i know that means its missing but what could make it backfire like that?

Damn man, sorry to hear your T/A was stolen. Glad you got it back though! You might want to do a full tune up on it since you don't know what they did to it. Your timing could be off causing the backfiring. Might wanna check that out.

Couple simple checks ...
Double check and make sure the boots are ALL the way on the plugs - I had one that would always come off and made me backfire at higher rpm's. I had to crimp the end just a tad with pliers and now it stays in place.
Also check the continuity of each plug wire - I also had a bad wire out of the box and it drove me crazy 'cause I assumed they were all new they were all good - maybe a wire isn't knicked or burnt, but just has a short in it.
