My 87 305 Iroq has had problems since the day i bought it. I recently brought in to get stickered and they didnt get to the inspection becuase the emission was so bad. My CO2 was a 13.25 out of a 1.10 limit, The HC was a 755 out of 275 and the NO was the only one i passed with a 2595 of 3600. The car also had a high idle since i got it and a puff of white smoke every now and then at start up. The mech put a new throttle body and sensors, I got new plugs , timing set, new O2 sensor, idle turned down, and vaccum check and it did a little bit worse. I finally got a waiver but i still want to know whats wrong cause i want my car to last. If any one has any ideas or has had this it would be greatly appreciated

 

Well the little puff of white smoke when you start it means your valvestem seals are bad.

 

What is ur a/f ratio? Also what is ur CO? Are you running tpi or a carb. set up? Is it running rough?

 

Its a tpi and the Co is 13.25 . It runs a little rough but not really that noticable
