Misfire

My 1990 Iroc with a 305 tpi has a miss at about 4000rpm. I have checked compression, spark, and fuel. I have also had a shop look at it. Everyone is stumped can anyone help me out?

fuel filter is brand new. and there is no clogging in the fuel system.

you dont mention the milage or amount of abuse...but could the valve springs be weak?....tao
