hey i have a 91 camaro that used to have 305 with TBI.. I now have a zz3 motor with a edelbrock carb. 600 electric choke on it, still have same fuel pump but I have a fuel pressure regulator, it is a good one with a return port on it.. 80 dollar mallory one, also the computer has been completely removed from the car.. the motor was just put in about 2 months ago.. that should hopefully be all the info u need to figure this out if not just ask and ill let u know

ok now my problem is sometimes when i go to turn my car off it doesnt want to turn off when i turn the key off... the motor will sit there and kinda stumble and stutter and then finally die.. somtimes it wont turn off right of way so ill just turn the key back on and it will go back to idle then ill turn try turning it off again.. it just does this sometimes..

k also the car is hard to start most the time.. like it takes just a bit to get it started up and once it starts up it is usually running a little rough right of way off the start and will die sometimes till it gets a bit warmed up... now im pretty sure the car is running rich because the back bumper keeps getting a little bit of black **** all over it where the exhuast comes out and sometimes it blows out some smoke when i start it up and rev it up... i have to wipe off the back bumper like all the time to keep the black speckles off it... but pry just running rich i think not sure !?!? sometimes after the car is warmed up and ive been driving when i go and park the idle will sometimes go up a bit and idle high for some reason not sure.

k other thing that is going on is when im driving it sometimes when i go and just step on the gas the car will have no response and sometimes will just die on me.. i dont know why but ill hammer on it and the car just dies or there is no response or anything... if the car doesnt die it will just run kinda rough and so forth.....

alright there is all the symptoms my car has.. im assuming its something with the carb. and maybe the timing but im not sure, just want to see if u guys can maybe give me some advice on what my problem is or what u all think it is !? !?

also what should the timing be for this motor ? ?
