LS1 Heads

LS1 Heads

I have a 92 Firebird 5.7 and I'm trying to put together another motor. I found a set of new LS1 heads for sale and was curious if these would work with the TPI setup, and a block from 1987-1992? Appreciate the help. Would these give me any more performance over the stock heads on an L98? Thanks

They won't work. LS1 and a gen 1 small block like your L98 are two totally different animals.

Could you recommend anything? Right now I'm looking for heads and a camshaft. I'd like to get in the range of at least 350hp. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

Methods of getting to 350hp will vary depending on what kind of motor you are working with here. Enlighten us as to your setup, and youll get some response.

I'd suggest looking at other posts on here that show what others are using with TPI setups, to find out the pros and cons of whats out there. The most popular stuff seems to be AFR, TrickFlow, and Dart heads in the 180-200cc range, with 64cc chambers, but I'd suggest you look around on the board a bit, use the Search function, and find out how you want to make your power (naturally aspirated, nitrous, supercharger?) and what heads the others seem to like for a similar setup to what you want.
