L03 hiccup. Need help troubleshooting!

My L03 Camaro has developed a bad intermitant ''bog'' or ''hesitation'' at idle and under part acceleration. It feels like it's dropping voltage, but the guage reads normal (no fluctuation) when it bogs. I put on a remanned autozone alternator a month ago that reads 10.5-11 volts half the time, but this problem has developed recently. It's throwing a code 53, don't know if that could cause this kind of problem.

Anything under 12.8V running is a problem, and may be creating problems with the control system.

Assuming you got a 110 amp alt or better, next time it get's the hiccups, watch your tach. If it just dies and comes to life again check the wires from the external coil and make sure they aren't arcing. Make sure the're not touching each other. I had a problem simular to yours and my finger found the problem! (ouch).
