Axle/Gears: 3.42

heads

how can i find out if my IROC has aluminum head or cast iron heads?, i own a 1990 IROC-Z w/ 5.7L TPI

Transmission: T10, hurst shifter

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt, true-trac, 3.73

cast iron stock.
casting # should be 083

Remove one of the valve covers and read the casting number off the top of the head.
