oil pan stripped out
The old owner of my car stripped the oil pan out. I had to loosen the drain plug with a breaker bar all the way to the last thread. When i filled it with oil and tighten the plug i can only do it finger tight and i have sillicone around it to prevent leaks. Well it leaks and now its getting worse i have to add 1/2 quart every 2-3 weeks. My question is do i have enough oil pan to rethread the hole and put and oversized plug in there? how much would this cost me at a shop to do?

Go to a parts store and pick up an oversized "repair" one. You don't even have to thread anything; they're self-tapping. $2, done.

when you do buy one remeber they should only cost 2-3 dollars. i went to auto zone and they were 7.99 then i went to fleet farm ( a hardware store with pretty much everything you need in it, i think only in the midwest area though)
and they were only 1.99. i used the one size up then had to move the the 2 size up and still stripped mine out even more, had to spend the weekend pulling the pan off and trying to hoist the engine up to get it past the oil filter. such a nightmare!
