Engine: a small one 2.8L
Making car quicker??

I don't know alot about working on cars just wondering if there was any easy, and cheap way to increase the horsepower on my 89 pontiac formula with the V6 2.8L ??

Not really worth the headache. Save the money for a 350. The only 'real' way to get the 2.8 to move is to turbo it.

But, the easiest, cheapest way I can think of is using K&N air filters. You might pick up 5hp max. Next is a catback exhaust system, search on summitracing.com for a system.

Making a 2.8 faster for cheap...doable? Sure. Worth it? Probably not.
