Quick Cam Question?
What does it mean to be computer controlled compatible? I noticed this when looking at cams at summitracing.

If a cam is computer controlled compatible, that means it can be used on an engine that is computer controlled. Just like yours.

Basically it means that it is 112 LSA or greater, and that it is 218/222 deg. @ .050 (roller cam) duration or less. A flat tappet cam I would guess could be up to 220/224 deg. Intake. Ballpark numbers.....
The gist of it is that the O2 sensor cannot deal with cams that have more valve overlap than would come with a bigger cam than this. There would be too much raw fuel in the exhaust for the O2 sensor and the rest of the fuel system to work properly.
