This is really weird.
Today when I was driving to work my choke light came on and a buzzing noise started happening in my dash. Full throttle acceleration is horrible as compaired to when this wasnt happening. My alternator read a little higher than normal today. Also my oil pressure gauge normally allways says 60+ but today it was saying 35ish at times. I dont really have a clue as to what this could be, anyone have suggestions? Also when I would turn on my radio, I would hear a lot of noise, the noise went with the buzzing too. If I had the radio on it would be so severe that you couldnt listen to any stations. If you have a cd you can turn it up loud and it fades away. Im stumped.
Also, today when I went to my boss's house, when I went to go move my car in a different spot, my engine wouldnt start. I pushed the gas all the way and then tried, it started in like 4 seconds, was BARELY running, even with the gas all the way down. About 15 seconds after it started reving up and acted normal. The choke light was still on and it was still buzzing when this happened.

The other day I blew a cheap sub I had hooked up for temporary bass (12" sony xplode, 1st style) and I have a 2000 watt volfenhag amp. Could blowing the voice coil potentially short circuit anything in my car?

Im no 'expert' on the subject, But i think you would cook that amp long before it would do anything to the alternator or the cars wiring.
