Reving Engine Questions
1. What is happening when I rev my engine?
2. Is reving an engine good/bad?
3. Are there times when a car should be reved?
4. My car took 2 turns to start tonight, and then I reved it to show my friend the sound...and there is little gas in it, what that smart? (Be nice
)
-Thanks

1. The speed at which it's turning is increasing, just as if you were driving.
2. It's bad if you sit there and do it nonstop or rev it too high.
3. Nope, not really. Just if a civic revs at you and you want to scare him.
4. Sometimes that happens. Dont sweat it. The gas smell was because of the fact that it was turning without starting, so all the gas was going through it unburned, so you could smell it.

What a weird question....
You shouldn't let these things worry you, you should give me that fine piece of tail of a car, and let me trouble myself with it.
oh, don't rev it high when it's stone cold, wait 5 minutes.
Yea, a car should be revved if it's about to stall, but then you go and find out why it was going to stall in the first place.
