Hello fellas... quick question.. after checking my codes, I recieved a code 23 and code 33, which for my car I believe are the MAT and MAP sensors. .. I replaced the MAP and code is gone.. Then I noticed I have two sensors in my Air Cleaner Housing unit, both of which i've heard described as the MAT sensor.



I haven't seen both of these on other camaros. Either way, could the MAT sensor have any impact on throttle response, or say, what sounds like a misfire or backfire coming from the fuel injection area?

The larger one with the blue plastic cover isn't an engine sensor- it's the thermostatic vacuum switch for your air cleaner's Thermac system (that draws intake air either from the cold air snorkel or from the hose off of the heat stove around the exhaust manifold). The other one is your MAT sensor- actually it's an IAT sensor, but we're splitting hairs at this point.
