looking for opinions

ok my combo is as sit now

406 10.3:1
ported dart pro 1 heads manley race flo valves 2.02/1.6
comp 918 beehive springs full comp hardware
comp XE294 roller cam .242/.248@.050 .540/.562 110
demon 750 carb
full MSD (dist 6al)
6spd trans
comp says power range will be around 2700-6300 due to the bigger stroke

My question is about the intake
Im currently running a dual plane weiand steath pn#8016 intake that has been port matched, but its i idle to 7000 power range.

i have a oil leak from the intake that im gonna yank it off and fix so its gonna have to come off.

I want max potential out of this setup. I am not worried about any driveability i just want this to live up to its potential, is this intake enough, would a spacer help or should i be looking into. I know the stealth says its power range will will support my rpms, but runner size of the heads as opposed to what the intake can do am i hurting myself with it?

would a spacer help out to bring the carb up some? or should i be looking for a bigger badder intake.

what do you guys recommend? i ported this intake because i had it laying around but im wondering since its basically like a performer rpm style intake that it may be too small now that i have some serious hp adding mods.

cash in your .02 here

thanks

You should be looking at a single plane intake. Get a pack of carb spacers as well (if hood space allows), and play with them. They are truley trial and error pieces right there.
But the single plane like a Vic Jr will give you better top end.

so you believe this one i have now is too small then? tis what i was suspecting i just want everything underneath it to work as supposed to... i figure whats the point in having heads and a big cam if the intake is a tad on the small side. ive also noticed the stealth doesnt sit very high compared to some of the other intakes in its class

what about a holley street dominator or strip dominator?

like i said im truely looking to get the best results. i dont care really about how much of a pita it is to drive on the street, if i dont wanna have a inconvienient drive ill drive my SS, but this car should be loads faster than it.
