Need help identifying a part fellas
I have been trying to find this piece in the gm parts catalog, but have been stumped thus far. It connects the steering column to the steering box, has rag joints. Mine is shot and I want to replace it, but I can't find the damn thing anywhere. Can someone help me? At least tell me what it is called, and maybe where I can pick one up? I've attached a pic highlighting the section where the piece is. It's the best angle I could find, using someone else's engine bay photo as a proof. Any help would eb appreciated guys. Thanks

I needed one too for a while. I found one on TGO. They are all over ebay too usually. They where the same in Van I hear. But anyways, I called it the telescoping steering shaft and people knew what I ment. So go with that. I got a near mint one for 4 bucks I think it was. Whats wrong with yours? Is it just the rag joint? you can buy those seperatly at parts stores. I might even have an extra one for sale (rag joint only).
Hope I helped.

That did help. I will look into it. But it's the rag, and the boot where the balljoint is up top. It's bone dry, and I don't wanna risk throwing it back on. Would rather get a nice one, or a new one if possible. Know where I can get one new?

call up classic industries. Or google them. If they don't have it, then you are in trouble and you should start looking on ebay.
