NEW Eliminator AFR's are HERE!
DAMN!...it took almost 5 months to get these puppies to my door...I hope the wait is well worth it.
Here's some info, they weigh 27.5lbs each..they are 195 L98 angle plug heads with 65cc's upgraded rocker studs to ARP to work with my pro magnum rockers...I got the rev kit to go with it...total price came out to $1675.11 and were ordered on July 14th and I just got them today..
they were inspected to make sure there was not going to be a problem with the valve issue people have been reading about...that took an extra week.
anyways heres some pictures..packaged very well.

Good selection of heads you bought. Probably the finest out of the box heads you can buy today for our cars. Just give them a proper cam, supporting mods and hold on. Hahaha.

vortecs are in the high 11s, i would hope for 10.90s honestly. unless you're choking the motor with a TPI or something like that. Get a nice 4000 stall and 4.10 gears and hold on. .6xx/.6xx lift cam and you'll be golden. Look at IHI's combo and it was 3600 pounds too for race weight

Ive already got all my stuff..Im gonna be running a HSR intake....cam is custom made from www.camshaftinnovations.com 226/232 535/537 113.5 LSA thats with 1.52, Im thinking of going to 1.6 but I dont think that would be that big a difference..Jay says to trust him it will go in the mid 11's
my race weight should be about 3400lbs or less with me in...full street trim...its a daily driver...everything in my sig except a 383 to boot!

Go with the 1.6 rockers. Remember "lift is your friend". Especially with those heads. The valves will be off the seat quicker and that will help fill the cylinders in all the lift ranges. The valves will be open longer. It's a win win situation especially in your case.

how much will the 1.6's change my cam profile? does it just change lift or does it affect everything in the way the cam will act..
thanks
thanks

i'd say a bigger cam, duration wise and lift wise. If not run the 1.6 rockers at least to get the most flow out of those heads.

I cant afford another cam..this one cost me $419.00
I may call Jay up and ask if he would trade my new 1.52 for a set of 1.6 pro's
I dont want a cam so big that it would kill all my lowend and kinda bog before the power comes in. He told me I should see 400 or so torque at 4000rpm and keep a flat torque curve thruout.
AFR says that if I went to 1.6's I would see maybe a gain of 15 or so HP..
