What are the first mods that I should do?

See Sig:

Anyways I bought it with an aftermarket exhaust system... I don't know what it is though, I am convinced of getting new gears and a shiftkit?

I heard Transgo is better then B&M, and that I should have a 3" exhaust, how do I tell that, Do I measure the tips or something?

I want to keep my 305, but I need more power so what should I do to it?

-Thanks

B and M shift kit is junk.

Trans Go kit actually fixes the known issues an improves performance and reliability.

As far as mods, do all maintenance issues before touching any mods whatsoever.

Fix leaking intake gaskets and worn valve stem seals. Make the car 100% correct electrical and mechanical than worry about improving upon it. Plus you will also know what the true benifit was of what u did.

First mod after getting everything 100% working would be to leanr PROM burning like here on our PROM board.

Some might argue this, but I'm just going on what I have learned.
