MSD 6al box installation location...

Has anyone found a good place to mount the MSD ignition box other than the crowded engine compartment??

I don't know if there's a hidden spot under/behind the dash firewall area or between the front bumper & radiator??? The engine compartment is overcrowded as it is without cramming in anything else. Nitro

I mounted mine where the factory computer was, but there are some other ideas in this thread.

I installed mine under the passenger seat....seat doesn't get used much in my car so its was out of the way. I recently re-located my battery to the back of the car and ended putting it there instead. Now its a little easier to get at the rev chips.

I've removed my washer bottle, so I built an aluminum bracket, and bolted
it right above the charcoal cannister. I also am running a 12v muffin fan
on the bottom of the bracket, and will be running a fresh air tube through the
bottom of the car to keep it cool. Looks great, and is out of the way.

Location-Location-Location....

Great! I've been scratching my head for an alternative location; not that I need a spotless engine compartment, but I definitely don't want to add to the factory clutter.
Thanks Guys! Mucho Appreciated!!!! Nitro

I mounted mine partially under the dash on the passenger side. The only problem so far is that I can hear it (and it's a little annoying), so I might mount it under the passenger seat like smallblock383 did...

Hey Neagan,

About your MSD box location - I installed mine under the rear seat
drivers side. Ran the wire under the door sill plate.

I mounted mine near the hood latch in front of the radiator. Been there for 7 years with no problems.

Its best to keep the wires on the box as short as possible and I know that cane behard considering there is not many places under the hood t mount these boxes without it looking tacky. I mounted mine where the charcoal canister use to be. it is low and out of sight and it gets some fresh air to keep it somewhat cool.
