What the He!! are these?? (unknown rockers. Info needed)
Hey everyone.
Ive got a set of rockers of my buddy. He is asking $100 for them. I have an 89 LB9, and id like to put roller rockers on.
The rockers he has given me appear correct on the engine, but they are sufficiently molested, and i cant figure out ratio's and wether they are centerbolt rockers or not.
Heres some info:
Crane is stamped into them
Number on it is: A969 (cranes website had no info on these)
Roller tip and roller body.
Needle bearings
Gold Ano.
Damage:
Ground out under arm for clearance over something
Worn on bottom as if it was rubbing against something
Wear inside from the stud caps rubbing
Damage at end as if pushrods had slipped out at some point.
now they are faily smooth moving.
He never had them on his car so he is unsure himself weather they fit a sbc or not.
Im looking for info on the model # and what heads their designed for, what you feel they are worth with the described damage(only 6 stud caps included) and do you feel this wear on them could affect my engine?
Thanks for the info!

Sounds actually, more like this "buddy" had a brain spasm and inexplicably gave away money in exchange for this pile of garbage; and now is looking for someone to play the part of the "greater fool", to rescue him from his flawed decision-making.
I certainly would not choose to be the one to bail him out, if it was my "buddy".

that pretty much sums it up. I know i would be pretty reluctant to put them in my motor, even though thats a smoking deal for full rollers i dont think its worth the risk...
