nned info on these polymer dist. gears

I am about to put a stock dist. back in my car but I need to buy a polymer gear first. What size gear do I need? is it the .491 size? or is there a smaller size one for the distributors with the external coil? I have a MSD pro billet dizzy 8366 that needs a serious rebuild (shaft is bent) and I would love to use it after its fixed but I need the car runing ASAP. I really dont want to buy a polymer gear at $120 for a stock dizzy and then have to buy another one to fit the MSD dizzy. Do they sell shims for these?

I am curious as to how your dist shaft got bent? The only time I have seen that happen is when a motor locks up at high rpm.

no idea.I will find out more when it goes to MSD. the relutctor ring on the top of it is .0070"off on some of the tabs. its bad enough where it causes a miss fire on the same 4 cylinders after time.
