Dyno'd my Formula
Dyno'd the car today and was pretty impressed with the numbers.
I was only expecting about 165hp at the wheels.
My car originally was a 305TPI Auto rated at 195HP at the flywheel.

I would think with a Stealth Ram, headers and a freed-up exhaust you'd expect more than 165 from it, even on a stock 305 long block!
With a bigger cam to complement the rest of the combo (getting rid of the factory "peanut" cam), plus tuning, you'd almsot certainly get another nice bump in power again. Nothing earth-shattering- maybe just an LT-1 cam, which would still be a fire-breather compared to the factory 305 peanut cam.
What did you do different on run 3 to get that nice little bump in torque/power across the baord?

those dont seem too bad. does your car have the L98 cam or the peanut cam? cuz i figured an L98 cam would pull to over 5000 with stealth ram.

I gots the peanut cam.
and ya, letting it cool down gave us the higher numbers.
I figured it would be low due to the torque loss that I felt after putting the HSR on the 305.

Just for comparison, Ian (iansane) had 225hp/249ft lbs with a 305/stealth ram combo with the LT1 cam. He probably has a bit more in the tune as he pegged the wide band O2 sensor at > 10:1 AFR. Gives you an idea of the rear wheel gains possible with just a cam swap

Wow, that's kinda surprising. I'm amazed at the torque difference between mine and yours, Zeph. Mine's down at 250 while yours is up almost 275.
Do you have any tuning done?

nope, no tuning done yet. I am just running the base ARAP program, and I believe that is an Auto prom. A few people mentioned that the Manual prom has more aggressive timing in it so it should make a little more power.

Not entirely sure why you posted that but I was just trying to provide a data point on what a cam swap could do since Damon brought it up, and specifically the LT1 cam.
