i just purchased a 87 iroc the other night and it started right up for me but yesterday i went out to start it and soon as i let off the accelerator it will die. it wont idle at all just dies as soon as i left off the throttle. it is bone stock and nothing has been changed at all.

 

Unfortunately, it could be caused by numerous things. If it were mine, I would start with the easy less expensive things and work my way through the fuel system then to the more expensive/complex...

fuel filter, air filter, EGR... You might have gone through these things anyway with a new purchase just not so soon.
