I suppose that would depend on your definition of "good" in both respects.
I recently bought a new engine to swap from a 305 to 350...in all my searching and research, the cheapest price I found was here:
www.rebuilt-auto-engines.com
If Im not mistaken, the 350 I bought was this one, for about $1200:

I cant say how "good" it is, because were just finishing up the swap now...we havent even started it yet.
Good luck!

Well it will probably be $2 or 3000. I am going to get someone else to do it in fear that I would totally screw it up lol... but besides the engine, what else would I need?
Could a corvette engine fit in my car. I think she currently has a 305 TBI, could a SLI be implemented?
----------
This one seems like a good deal. (not corvette):

boy, what an immensly broad question, with equally broad answers.
Sure a vette engine will work, I got a '76 "Vette" motor in my garage I could sell ya for $3000, it'd make your car GO like a Vette alright.
GM makes some nice cheap complete motors, for somewhere in the $1800 range I thought. So in Newfoundland dollars you'd be just above $3000 when you're ready to turn the key and run it. 250HP 350CID Goodwrench style engine there.

the first engine you have there looks like a 82 to 92 corvette & camaro L-98 with the camaro iron 083 heads. The second one looks like the corvette camaro LT-4 WHICH makes great power. They both look like pretty good deals.I`m a little warry of the remans though. I used the fleetwood/caprice TBI goodwrench crate engine that rohmanski was talking about($1,650 new) because the bottom end is the same as the L-98 camaro/corvette engine.the cam and heads are poor and only makes about 200 hp at most so i used the 1996 CORVETTE/CAMARO LT-4 cam (about $100 new) with the 1.6 roller rockers(about $280 new) to get full use of the cam.For the heads i used the ZZ-4 heads which are the same as the alluminum L-98 corvette heads(about $1,100 new) and boom i got a corvette engine. There are good heads that are cheaper, but i wanted to stay as true to third gen original equipment as i could and bolt my tpi right on to it.With the second engine you`ll probably need a different fly wheel if its not a 1 piece rear main seal. Are you gonna go with a carb setup or try to bolt your tbi up to it.There are all kinds of options out there, order a catalog from these guys 1-888-522-8163 pace performance.com they have good prices on new warrentied GM engines and have good help on the phone getting you the power you want at a price you can afford. But haveing someone do it for you is not going to be cheap either. No matter what someone quotes you for a price on an engine swap there ars almost always hidden and unexpected cost that can drive the final price way up.

Keep me posted because I was thinking about buying that motor for my IROC.
Just wanted to know if someone else had an experience with that motor before I put my hard earning down for it.
