I've got an '88 IROC, and the turn signals aren't working. The hazard lights do work. Does anyone know if the car has a turn signal flasher under the dash. My Chilton manual shows only a hazard flasher in the convenience console on the '88 diagram. The manual also shows a turn signal switch in the steering column. Could the switch be the problem? Has anyone had to replace this? Thanks for the help.

 

If neither the right nor left blinkers work, then it's probably either the TS (turn signal) fuse, or the flasher.

It's not the one in the fuse box. There are 2 flashers, and the fuse box one is for the hazards. It's under the dash somewhere. Details vary. Usually it's near the steering column, between the column and the radio.

 

Mine is visible in the place behind the radio from under the steering wheel. Its a round metal disk.

I have NO IDEA how to get to it short of pulling the radio part of the dash out. Thankfuly mine still works.

You'd have some other things not working, but its worth seeing if all the steering column harnesses are attached to the pigtails from the car.
