unidentified sensor(maybe?)

took apart the motor a year and some odd months ago and after beginning to put all the parts back together (which is just about done, the car has driven a little) it seems that i have lost something that could possibly be important. It was a cylinder shaped sensor or something of the sort that was bolted on the back of the driver side cylinder head. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Eddie.

There is no sensor bolted to the back of either head, as far as I know. The only thing close would be the oil pressure transducer, and for 1986 it would have been plumbed to the oil pressure port next to the disrtibutor, placing it in the general area you describe.

Hmm.. it was a cyliner shaped peice with a wire hanging from it that was attached via a clamp that was bolted onto the back of the rear driver side head. Any pictures of something like that?
