dart pro 1's

im looking to get some new heads with my income tax i was looking at these dart pro 1's on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dart-...85390389QQrdZ1 i was going to get these or i see some dart platinum heads 200cc asembeld for the same price. would the pro '1 be better or should i get the platium heads there going on a 355 with mild cam. also i seen that the pro 1's have 72cc chambers what would be the compression with flat tops. i also have a set of brand new speed pro .275 domed pistons from a different build what would the compression be with them. thanks.

That is not a good deal; and it's not the right heads for your application, if you have a N/A 350. Before you bite off on that, compare the price that it will tke to assemble them - valves, seals, springs, shims, studs, guide plates, & setup labor - and see if buying those blems off of somebody that bought a truckload of them and rescued them from the scrap heap, will cost any less than buying first-run assembled product. I think you'll find out that these here would not save you anything.

Dart iron 180cc heads, 64cc angle-plug, would be a better match for what it looks like youve got: a stock 350 TPI.

I don't think those pistons will fit in the Dart combustion chambers without some machine work. After all, they're made as stock replacement pistons, to go in stock heads. Besides, they will give you over 13½:1 CR with zero deck, and almost 12:1 with a stock deck height and lowered compression height. Basically they are worthless to you.

First thing you need to do is to get rid of THAT thing. Get a Comp XE274. You won't BELIEVE how much better it will run.

I'm running the Dart Pro One 200cc runners. They are just fine on my 355 build up. I also have the 64cc versions. I agree that they would be overkill for a relatively stock motor. So it depends on where you are going with the motor. See signature for details on mine.
