Are the MAF sensors the same between a 86 305 TPI from a Trans Am and a 87 305 TPI from a IROC Z.

get the part# and see if its the same for both cars.

The MAF used on either the LB9 (305) or the L98 (350) TPI system is the same for 1986 through 1989 models. Some references and auto parts databases erroneously list the 1985 models as being the same, but they are not. That is the only exception for TPI MAF sensors.
