weird problem, need some help

My camaro recently started asting up. It feels down on power and has a hard time revving over 4k. The rpms dont rise smoothly its like they jump up and down 100-200 rpm while its revving. Its really doesnt do it when I free rev it it is mainly when it is under a load. Fuel filter?
thanks for the help guys

Same thing just happened to me 2 days ago. For me it was bad gas. I had just happened to get gas the day it started. Adding isopropyl alcohol to the gas fixed it for me.
