EGR Valve is gay

i cant put my egr valve back on because its hitting my new valve covers. there taller than the stock ones....... is there a diifirent type of egr valve i can buy that isnt so short and wide maybe a more taller one or something?????

Thats strange.
I have tall valve covers on my engine and I had no problems.
What year is your engine?
If it's old then grab a manifold with egr from a later model v8 from scrap for cheap. Even grab a manifold without egr from scrap for cheap.

im not surprised its hitting, with the stock covers the egr valve is really close as it is

are you bent on having tall covers ?

do you really need tall covers ? you have high lift camshaft or something ?

do you hvae emissions equipment inspections there? if not then make a block off plate out of a piece of aluminum sign or plate

its easy

YEAH I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA...... AN NO I DONT NEED TALL COVERS .... PUT I CALLED SUMMIT AND THEY ARE SHIPPING BE A EGR ADAPTOR THAT EDELBROCK MAKES THAT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM......

nice that should fix the problem then


i didnt know they had spacers for the EGr like that, thats cool to learn/know, even though here we dont even have inspections or need to have EGR or anything else emissions intact
