750 proform double pumper is a nice carb for the money.
as for the cables, get some throttle studs and trans studs from edelbrock and use the factory ones.

what are those just different end adapters? i cut the throttle cable and right now i'm just using one of those things where you tighten a screw to the cable. only problem is it keeps moving and comming off. do you have any part numbers that could help me out, cause i've looked around and really couldn't find anything that would work great. i was preatty much planning on just having to get complete new cables, but if can something as simple as switching the end adapters i'd do that just to save time and money.

New cables would be preferable. If you don't want to go to the dealer for new ones, you could get used cables, or new aftermarket cables are available.

lokar makes really nice cables, and they are pricey but you get what you pay for.
