MSD Dist Cap

I just got a new MSD hei distributer cap & rotor to throw on while I had everything apart and the hold downs are a little different and im not real sure how to get this som bish together. The new msd cap has a L type hold down where as the oem piece had 4 screws. How are you supposed to get the L around the ear on the dist? Heres a crappy pic of it:

That cap is for a different distributor that doesn't have the ears.

The cap fits perfectly on my distributor. It isn't made for stock distributors. Not to say there isn't one out there, just make sure it has the screw holes instead of brackets.

Yes it is, just not that one. It's for the older large clamp-down cap.

A quick look through the MSD catalog doesn't show any large screw-down caps, they're all clamp-down that I see.

the rotor that came with it seems to fit fine, is it alright to use the MSD rotor with a ac delco/OEM cap? Or should I just sell these on ebay or something and get a new stock cap/rotor combo?

I would guess it's probably alright to use the rotor.
