somthing blocking the oil pan!!!!

I think it the main bearing blocking it......... i have my tranny and flywheel off and i thought that it might be a good time to fix the oil leak i have coming from my oil pan........ but when i went to drop the pan its hitting and i cant menuver it out of the way...... so i think i have to raise my engine a few inches but i really dont want ot do all that....

what else can i do ????????????

Raising the engine is the only thing you can do, aside from dropping the K member which would be a whole lot more difficult.

If your in a jam, put a long board or boards across your fenders and you can use a simple small floor or bottle jack to lift up motor enough to get the pan out. [once ya unbolt motor]

wider the board or boards the better, done it with lots of cars and the weight is always spread out plenty enough that you won't hurt anything even with a couple of 2x4 but wider is better.

I'd probably use a hoist or a chain block, and lift it until I could get some blocks of wood between the engine mounts and the block.
