Just how hot is it supposed to be @_@??
I just have a quick couple question
For one my coil is getting hot and I mean very hot
after uses I'm talking to hot to touch for more then a second.
I know that they're supposed to get warm or a little hot
but not that hot right? It is an Accel Super Stock 2 coil.
It dose not required a ballast resistor, I tried one though and it fried it.
So what would cause this? to much voltage to it? how many amp
should it be getting, should I get an in-line fuse for it?
Also my manifold and dizzy or getting very very hot too.
valve cover and heads are hot but not like the intake.
cars coolant temp stays at or a little below 180 at all times.
(autometer gauge)
making me wonder if my oil is just really hot.
Or is it all supposed to be that hot
just seemed odd to me at it's that hot and 180.
feels more like it's overheating.
Also I have a oil leak at that oil pressure sending unit hole.
I don't have a sender in there right now just a bolt.
I have tried red thread lock, gray sealent, and tefolon tape,
with non of it stoping it from leaking out when reved or at RMP's
above 3750. it is making a mess of my headers and I do not know what to try next.
I need to fix this to drive my car it's that bad.
one more thing,
someone said that their 305 with comp cam's 268 cam in it
love its timing set 12 advanced isn't that a little to much?
hmmmm not really quick hu
.
Thanks, JR
