Got a good price on a used Street Dominator dual plane intake (300-36) and before I get carried away I want to make sure I have an air cleaner that will fit. Everybody says I need an L-88 (late '60's BB vette) air cleaner to make it fit, but I don't know how much drop that actually has. The air cleaner I have has 1.38 drop. I've also found some of these spun aluminum air cleaners that look like the would work (flow) better than the stamped style, rounded off like the L-88 air cleaner on the base for a lot cheaper than the L-88 repo's. Anybody know what the drop is on these? Any help would be appreciated.
