Gas tank question

I dont know what is worng with my gas tank... its a 1986 Iroc and every time when i take the cap off the tank (yes its the stock tank) i hear a hissssing its like its vacume sealed? is this normal any thoughts?

Mine always did it until I got rid of the evap canister (I swapped in a carbed motor).

well here is the thing someone has deffinatly been into this car iv found alot of problems with the car and that was just a question i had its kinda weird iv never had a vehicle do that before soo i figure i would ask...

Its completely normal. Its a result of the tank being pressurized during operation.
