Accessory bracket studs ???
The studs on the side of the heads, how do you remove them ? What kind of socket, does anyone know ? My backup engine doesn't have them, my old engine has them so yes I need to transfer them.

studs can be removed 2 ways...either use a stud remover or pipe wrench(both will destroy the threads). or you can put 2 nuts on the stud, tighten the 2 nuts up against eachother, then use a wrench to try to remove the stud (2 nuts tightened up against eachother acts as a gripping point so you dont damage the threads)
are they just studs or is there some special head or something

1/4 ?? The studs are that big ?
I'll try the two nuts, and yes the studs have that dumb star head on them. Kinda like an inverted torx bit.

Not sure on the 1/4" but a 12 pt box wrench, which EVERYBODY has will work.
Okay. Just went and checked. It's definitely 1/4 inch. It fits like a glove.
