Re: 305 crank, strokable?

I think that you can use one from a 400, (to get to a 334) but very few people on this board would advise you to do that. It just results in a longer stroke on a cylinder that already has too small of a bore. You just can't put big enough valves in a 305 to get a stroker to perform well.

You can use a 2-piece seal crank with an adapter, but I wouldnt recommend it.
A 350 crank has the same stroke as a 305 crank, so you would gain nothing.

Re: 305 crank, strokable?

The 305 and 350 are both 3.48 stroke.

If you have a bad 305 crank you can use a 350 or the other way around.

You may want to check the total weight of the crank it may need rebalanced.

Re: 305 crank, strokable?

You can probably buy an aftermarket 3.75" stroke crank with a 1pc RMS. As Mnorton mentioned, it's a bad idea in a 305, too small of a bore to get enough valve to get the motor to breathe enough to be worthwhile.
