my car has been starting fine and then i had to move it a couple of feet so instead of starting it i released the e brake and pushed it, a few hours later i go to start it and it won't start the electricity comes on but it won't start theirs also a light that comes on that i didn't notice before that says "security" please help! its a 92 firebird formula

 

well that light means you have activated the pass key system also known as vats notice the little black piece of rubber on your key with the piece of metal in it that metal has a special resistance to it the is necesary to start the car if you dont have the right resistance the car wont start...

 

yes well that doesn't really help me out at all but thanks is their anything i can do to fix this prob. of mine it does have a new starter in it so it can't be that

 

when you crank it can you hear a metalic click from the engine compartment or no?

if you dont hear a click and it doesnt crank then it might be vats but it could also be any number of electrical problems so we need more info on what the car will do and what it doesnt do saying it wont start isnt useful either...
