VATS problem?
I go out to crank my car today, and it does NOTHING.
All I get are dash lights and a whirring fan (it comes on when the ignition is on).
No clicks, no starter engaging, I dont hear the fuel pump but I dont know what it sounds like, either.
Any ideas?
Just replaced the starter 2 weeks ago.

Re: VATS problem?
That is common with a VATS issue. I usually left it sit for an hour and tried again. If it starts, then you are pretty certain that's your culprit, and you'll have to find a way to bypass it. Either the resistor method, or with a special burnt prom. I did neither, converted to carburetor, ditched the computer altogether =D

Re: VATS problem?
I kind of wondered if the vats would be a problem when swaping to a carb, good to know it's not an issue.

Re: VATS problem?
Well Im building a new motor for mine and it's hopefully gonna be ready to drop in within a couple of months but we'll see. I'm plannig on carbureting it anyway so that's good.
But I thought VATS connected to the fuel pump too?
