82 z w/73 350
82 z w/73 350
Here’s the deal....
Bought an 82 that had the 350 already in it... 6k miles on the engine after a build (so they say) HAS BEEN SITTING going on 6 months now
Has edelbrock intake/carb setup... lunati cam (unknown what the grind is, roller rockers... still had the press in studs in the head and it was pulling several of them....
I took it home, pulling the studs and threading so I can put screw in studs in it... I have about 12 of them dome and started setting the rockers in place... I have what appears to be at least 8-10 lifters that seem to have collapsed, since the pushrods are WAY to low... yes, they are on the lifters, all that’s correct....
Would LIKE to pump the lifters back up, see if they hold... not figuring that I can do that.. Anyone know?
Thanks

Re: 82 z w/73 350
you can i I assume you have the engine stripped to do the tapping and that you have the proper tool to do it...
you can use a oil can you know with the lever pump deals... engine oil into the hole on the side of the lifter until it comes out the top...
