Car: 86' camaro
Engine: 305 (currently swapping 454)
Transmission: 700r4(currently swapping th400)
Axle/Gears: stock
454 Heads
so im putting the 454 back togeather and ive runinto a problem....
im ashamed to say i cant figure out how the pushrods/ guide plates and all that goes back togeather, i got this far but im not sure if this is right, if it is, does the rocker arm just bolt on top and im good to go? thanks for any help.

Guide plates are held down with the rocker studs. Torque the studs with red loctite to 50 lbs. The longer pushrods are for the exhaust valves (bottom ones). If the rocker doesn't line up properly on the valve stem, the guides plates can be cut and rewelded to correct the alignment.
A stock engine uses hydraulic lifters. The rockers are installed just like a SBC. Tighten the rocker nut to zero lash on the base circle of the cam then tighten the rocker nut 1/2 turn more.
