TPI: Dart, Lunati combo
What kind of numbers do you think I will pull out of this combo?
Stock 86 TPI
355 Block 350 bored .30 over
Dart Iron Eagle SS heads
-165cc Intake Runner
-72cc Chamber
-210/138 CFM @ .500 lift
Lunati Voodoo 60101 Cam Hyd. Flat Tap.
-Adv Dur. 256/262
-Dur @ .500 lift 213/219
-Lift .454/.468
-112 Lobe Sep. 108 Centerline
Comp Pro Magnum 1.52 RR
24# SVO Injectors
9.5:1 Static Compression
Seems like a pretty well matched setup?
Do you think that my stock 700R4 will hold up to this motor??
-Thanks!

Re: TPI: Dart, Lunati combo
That might kick out 300HP with a solid tune. You'll probably have to reprogram the ECM. That's a very mild cam, and those heads are basically stock smog heads, just dressed up with a Dart logo.
I highly (HIGHLY!!) recommend you port those heads, at least the exhaust side. Like holy cow those are abysmal.
The good side is yes, your 700R4 (if in relatively good shape) should hold up fine, and it won't need a new convertor.

I figured that was about as big of a cam that I should go with, beings i'm using Stock TPI which doens't produce well after 5000 anyways. And that cam pulls about 19" vacuum which is always a good thing for a daily driver.
Do you have a better recommendation for heads? Besides porting. Maybe a different aftermarket head that would perform better out of the box than the Darts? I havn't found much out of the box performance for that kinda price other than the darts.
I've got the Burn1 and have already been dinking around with my stock 305 tune, so I'll be able to tune it. Do you think that I'd be able to atleast break in the cam with the stock tune other than the bigger injector constant, i'd be able to put that in there for sure but other than that I can't really tune without the motor running? Oh yeah, i'd be starting with the 89 ARAP bin. Or am I going to run into troubles with detonation and the like?
300HP is about exactly what I was looking for...good deal.
