a computer is a computer, it dosen't know anything except what it's told.....
it will expect to be operating a tpi 350 with factory programming, if you mod it then you will have to have the programming changed so that the computer can be in the ballpark to compensate, massive tuning for highly modded engines...
your machine shop should be able to clearnce the block and do what you need done, just make sure you tell them everything you plan on so they can prepare the block for it.. communication is key!

Yeah, either re-program to meet your specifications
OR
Ditch the ecm and go carb. A decent Holley atop an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap.

i want to keep the tpi or something simalar. i thought that your could buy a crank that was ready to just drop in to a 350 with no clearance issues. anybody you could recomend for the comp modding?

Yes, you can buy a new Scat crank to just drop in there however, the longer stroke will require clearancing the block for the rod bolts. The block rails where the oil pan bolts to and possibly the bottom of the cylinders. If you have a die grinder you can do it yourself and save some cash but it will require several trips to and from your machine shop.
Have you looked into the Holley Stealth Ram for a decently priced and appropriate intake mod? The TPI will be further restricted as your new displacement tries to pull more air in, it's just not efficient for a 383, 305 yes. You'll definately need larger injectors too, depending on your cam selection and heads you may be able to get away with 24#'s but 30's for a nasty street car with a decently modded engine.
Can you tune? You'll definately need the knowledge to tune, dont trust an off the shelf chip, it's a joke.
