O2 Sensor Wire

New guy here. Awesome site.

Just bought a 1990 Camaro RS 3.1 V6 for my son and am in the prosses of getting things in working order for him. I've restored over 15 70s era cars but am lost on computer controlled vehicals.

The O2 sensor has been disconnect. I have a replacement but I can not locate the wire to connect it? Any clues where I can locate the wire. Is it bad to be running without the 02?

Re: O2 Sensor Wire

Possibly some one could tell me what ECM pin and I can trace it from there?

Re: O2 Sensor Wire

Found all that I needed in the FAQs. Used the Autozone diagrams.

What would be a reason that some one would unplug the 02? Seems spretty silly to me, especially on a v6.

Re: O2 Sensor Wire

Some people do it becuase they think the car runs better with the o2 sensor disconnected, it actually runs a lot worse. Some people are just lazy and don't do it, and some people think it makes the car sound louder and more aggressive with it out.
