305 ecs on 350??

Just wondering if a 305 esc on a 350 is going to cut back timing and fuel enough that the engine wont really pull past 3500 to 4000rpm as well as have a miss just of idle when accelerating?? Im sure that It will but wondering if anyone has had any problems like this when swapping out there 305?? Any help is appreciated
