EGR valve plate
Hi all, I wonder if some of you can share your wisdom with me.... I have a small problem with the plate that the EGR Valve sits on on my wife's '91 3.1V6....
.... There are another 2 hairline cracks in it as well and there are 2 sheared bolts in it that need to be drilled out and re-threaded. Basically it's going to need replaced. As I live in the UK that may take some time to source I was wondering if it's possible to just blank off the holes to the inlet and exhaust and do away with the EGR valve? Any help much appreciated!

Piece of 1/4" steel plate + drilled bolt holes + gasket = block off plate.
Time-honored approach.

Re: EGR valve plate
That's what I thought, as the base plate is part of the EGR Valve I was qouted in the region of £200 for the complete assembly. I did the blank plate yesterday evening and all is running sweetly again. Cheers.
