Replaced all Vacuum lines but now..

I replaced all my vacuum lines on my 83 carbureted camaro. I'll have it turn over and start but after an idle at 1000 it starts to slowly rise and stop at 2500 rpm. Why is this happening? I usually wil lrev the engine and then the engine will go down to about 750 rpm steady. It'll then stay that way. I honestly don't know what could be causing this.

Choke might be sticking, or you've got a very large vacuum leak, presumably from a vacuum line Slipped off somewhere? Do you hear any hissing sounds?

No hissing sounds that I can hear, and I checked all the vacuum lines and they're all connected and brand new. So you think the choke might be sticking? What would I use/do to get that choke to not stick anymore :P

If you rev the engine now will the idle drop?

I'm not familiar with the V6 carb, but take a look at the choke area and look for anything that doesn't look right I guess. Make sure it's plugged in, everything moves smoothly and all that.

Re: Replaced all Vacuum lines but now..

Right now I'm in class but when I do rev it from it idling at 2500 it goes right down to 750 RPM. Then sometimes when I rev it again it will stick at 2500 again and I'll have to rev it again to get it down to 750. I was thinknig something was sticking too but I wasn't exactly sure.
