just got racetronix fuelpump kit and have question about the pump

Axle/Gears: Stock Ausie 9 bolt w/3.45 gears

just got racetronix fuelpump kit and have question about the pump

ok so i took the stock pump out, and as you look down the tube it has nothing in it...but with the walbro, there is a needle with 3 plastic "branches" coming off of it...was wondering if they need to be remove or if its the way it comes for a direct install it the way it came...hers a crappy drawn picture to kinda show what im talking about.....

Personally, I wouldn't do anything to that pump other than put it in. Walbro pumps are leagues above the stocker performance wise, and I've never heard of anyone cutting anything out before installing it.
